HX10 OriginalHawk Cricket Bats are completely handmade from the very best English Willow, sourced from farms dedicated to growing willow for bat-making. It is renewably harvested and collected, dried and treated by specialist suppliers in Essex.
The handle is precisely constructed, using cane, cork, willow and adhesive. It is then turned and fitted to the bat, set slightly forward to follow the natural bow of the blade. The handle is left oval for greater feel.
Every blade is pressed individually to achieve optimum performance. The shaping of the blade is done totally by hand and eye to ensure the right amount of wood is left in the right areas, for the perfect balance.
After sanding each bat is hand knocked in, 4 coats of oil are applied, anti-soft fitted, handle turned and rubber grips fitted, finally Hawk chrome graphics are applied.
This hand crafted masterpiece leaves the workshop ready for use on the village green or full test arena.
